Why Heimertingen?

The site lies on two motorways and near Memmingen Airport – in the heart of southern Germany.

Heimertingen is in the district of Unterallgäu in Bavaria, on the A7 a few kilometres north of the Memmingen motorway junction, where the A96 branches off. Via the A7 it is about 50 km to Ulm and about 45 km to Kempten, and further south to the Austrian border at Füssen – the north–south route through the Alps. The A96 leads to Munich (about 120 km) and to Lindau on Lake Constance (about 75 km).

Heimertingen is a pilot and reference project. What is built here is intended to follow at further transport hubs in Germany and Europe.
