Privacy
Which data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose – and what rights you have.
Translation. This English version is provided for convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
- Company
- Truck-PowerDest GmbH
Alpenstraße 10, 87751 Heimertingen, Germany
2. Overview
We only process personal data where this is necessary to operate this website, to answer your enquiries or to comply with legal obligations, or where you have given your consent. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted in Germany by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider under Art. 28 GDPR.
When you access the website, the server automatically stores access data:
- IP address of the requesting device, anonymised by the provider
- date and time of access
- page accessed and amount of data transferred
- previously visited page (referrer)
- browser and operating system
We need this data to deliver the website securely and reliably and to detect attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted after eight weeks at the latest.
4. Contact form and e-mail
If you write to us using the contact form or by e-mail, we process the details you provide: the selected topic, name, e-mail address and message, and, on a voluntary basis, company and phone number. To protect against automated spam, your IP address is briefly stored on the server in a shortened, irreversible form (hash value) and is disregarded after 15 minutes at the latest.
Before your browser sends the form, it also solves a small computing task that our server sets and then checks (proof of work following the ALTCHA method). This happens in the background while you fill in the form, without cookies, without reading any characteristics of your device and without third-party services. All that is stored is that a task has been used, with no link to you. Without JavaScript the form therefore cannot be sent; in that case, please write to us by e-mail. The legal basis for these protective measures is our legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); the computing task in your browser is technically necessary for sending the form as you requested (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG).
We use this data solely to process your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Enquiries are forwarded by e-mail to the mailbox info@truck-powerdest.com. Sending and delivery are handled by the e-mail service of IONOS SE (address in section 3), with which we have concluded a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. We delete the data once the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Consent and cookies
On your first visit, we ask whether we may measure how the website is used and record individual visits. You can choose each separately: “Audience measurement” and “Session recording”. Without your consent, neither is loaded and no connection to the analytics server is made.
We store your choice in a technically necessary cookie (cc_cookie) in your browser so that we do not have to ask you again on every page view. The cookie contains only your choice and the time it was made, and is deleted after six months. The legal basis is § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR.
If you change the language using the language switch, we store your choice in a further technically necessary cookie (tpd_lang, containing only “de” or “en”) so that the start page greets you in that language on your next visit. Without such a choice, the start page follows the language setting that every browser sends anyway; it is not stored. The cookie is deleted after twelve months. The legal basis is § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
If you consent to audience measurement, a random identifier is also stored in your browser's local storage; details are in section 6. If you withdraw this consent, we delete the identifier again. The legal basis for these consent-based accesses to your device is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future:
6. Audience measurement and session recording
To understand which content on this website is in demand and where visitors get stuck, we measure its use with the analytics software Rybbit. No external analytics provider is involved: Rybbit runs on a dedicated server at IONOS SE in Germany. The data collected is not passed on to third parties.
Measurement is switched off by default. The analytics script is only loaded once you consent to the “Audience measurement” category. Without your consent, no measurement takes place.
After your consent, Rybbit stores a randomly generated identifier in your browser's local storage. It contains no information about you; it is the reason measurement requires your consent. Rybbit does not set cookies.
When a page is viewed, the following is sent to the analytics server: the page viewed, including query parameters, page title, domain, referring page (referrer), screen resolution and browser language. Browser, operating system and device type are derived from your browser's details. Your IP address is transmitted for technical reasons, as with any connection on the internet, and is only used to determine the approximate location at country or region level. We do not store it.
To group your page views into one visit, the server creates a check value from your IP address and your browser's details. Your IP address cannot be derived from this value. A secret value that changes daily is also included in the calculation. The value therefore expires after 24 hours.
To keep automated visits (bots) from distorting the statistics, the analytics script checks a few technical characteristics in your browser: whether the browser is controlled by an automation tool, whether the screen and window sizes are plausible, whether the browser reports plugins, and whether graphics are rendered in software instead of by a graphics card. To do this, it reads the name of the graphics processor. That name does not leave your browser. Only a score from 0 to 10, indicating how likely a bot is, and which of the characteristics applied are sent to the analytics server.
In addition, we record:
- Clicks on links that lead from this website to other websites.
- Clicks on buttons. The button label is transmitted, for example “Send enquiry”.
- Clicks on links to the contact form, on our phone number and on our e-mail address: which of these ways was chosen, where on the page the link is and, where applicable, the preselected topic.
- Form fields filled in: the field name, field type and the associated form, as well as the submission of the form. The content of the fields is not transmitted. This shows us where visitors abandon a form.
- Whether an enquiry sent via the contact form arrived or with which technical error code it was rejected, each with the selected topic. Your name, e-mail address, phone number and message are not transmitted.
- Technical error messages from the browser that occur while running this website: error type, error text, affected file and line number.
- Loading times of this website: how long the page takes to build, when the largest content becomes visible, how much the content shifts while loading and how quickly the page responds to your first input.
Data is not combined with other data sources and is not transferred to countries outside the European Union. Measurement data is automatically deleted after 14 months.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the footer. The identifier stored in your browser is then deleted and the analytics script is no longer loaded.
Session recording
In addition to measurement, we can record individual visits and watch them afterwards like a video. The recording covers the displayed page content, mouse clicks, scrolling, changes of input focus and the size of the browser window. We use this to see where visitors get stuck.
Recording has its own consent category. You can consent to audience measurement and still decline recording. Without your consent to “Session recording”, the library required for it is not loaded.
The contact form is not recorded; it appears as an empty area in the recording. Your entries, selected options and the form's responses are therefore not part of the recording.
Recordings are sent to and stored on the analytics server, are not passed on to third parties and are automatically deleted after 30 days. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25 Abs. 1 TDDDG. Withdrawing it via “Cookie settings” stops a running recording immediately.
7. Fonts and scripts
The fonts, scripts and stylesheets of this website are hosted on our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts, content delivery networks or other third-party providers when you view a page. The only exception is the analytics server described in section 6 – and only with your consent.
8. Your rights
You have the right at any time to
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR),
- withdraw consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Ansbach.
10. Data security and last update
The connection to this website is encrypted using TLS. You can recognise this by “https://” and the padlock symbol in the address bar.
We will update this policy if the website or the legal requirements change.
